I am not sure what concept I found, I know it is based on a song. How does this connect with the deviation? Being titled "The death of me" I find myself pondering as to why it is titled that. Perhaps this means that you purposely made the concept not exactly clear. Sometimes I think it is fine sometimes for the audience to find the meaning, or interpret their own. I find that some audiences like to connect the title with concept with the image, and connect that to something they hold personal- or, if they are just interested in that concept, or how you have interpreted it.
Could it be:
This is the way we flow when we die?
He is staying the swaying branches after death?
I just really enjoy the movement and texture of the subject. I find myself being able to look at the subject for quite some time, especially with looking at details of the subject- the little kinks and curls. I particularly like the kink/curl in the left hand corner.
Even though the subject seems quite sharp and pointy, there is still some softness to the deviation. Perhaps the use of the soft colours, the way the subject is heading or how there seems to be a never ending world of the branches in the distance.
I have seen deviations like this, but they are never the same.
Personally I find it to be a very beautiful piece and I am extremely happy to have invited it into my favourites.
It is cropped well and the black/grey and white contrasts are rich to look at.
