First of all I have to say Im suprised that 'The Journey' by *Healzo is the only image from the series that is put up for critique. Even though it's a great capture I feel like there are better ones in there.

Okay, after having said that, let's get to the critique, shall we?

There is an excellent idea behind the image. It's almost like macro meets portrait journalism. While beeing innovative it doesn't push it too far. The square format woks perfectly for the image. It's almost like looking through a tube to a different world. The background is perfect and adds a lot to image's overall reception.

The depth of field however I feel is a bit off. We have the subject in focus, but a blurry branch in the foreground really messes up the image reception for me. I also find the lightning on the ladybug too staged. It takes you back from another world to the studio.

That being said, this is image is still a great capture, that I feel work really well. To be honest I could see that hanging on the walls in people's houses.

Good work Joakim!
