Though I've seen similar work before I must say that this piece does manage to stand out. At first glance I thought the use of focus might be distracting, but as soon as I gave the piece a second it won me over and drew me in. It's almost like a "I Spy" game with nothing to find so it keeps me entertained irrelevant of how long I stare. I thoroughly enjoy the vivid controls, sharp contrast and wonderful lighting. The reflective qualities work hand in hand with the slight sense of motion some of the seedlings convey. As far as alterations I might consider, I'd only go as far as to say a slight bit less of a blur towards the middle left of the piece to allow for some more focussed water droplets, but again, only a little bit. Overall this is a well conceived, well composed piece that I find visually stimulating and to be honest, I'm going down to the river with my camera as soon as I'm done writing. : )
Such a beautiful shot. I love every single bit of it. Thanks for this work, now I want to try the same thing with such detailed waterdrops when I get my new camera. It will never be as beautiful as this, but I want to try. Thanks
