I think to start with the model is stunning, the simple pulled back hair with twists really accentuates the shape of her face. The make up I think both really adds to the impact but also I would love to see it without it, if that makes sense. The shapes are really interesting and I really like the way it looks as though the ink has seeped out of her eye and made these beautiful patterns.
The black and white is wonderful and I think the saturation is just perfect. The only thing I would say is that maybe slightly more definition would be have been nice on the torso, after looking at it for a long time she begins to look slightly detached from her body. Her intense and curious look just wins me over though, her eyes are really very intriguing you captured them beautifully.
The contrast between the main focus points of this piece (eyes and the little drawing thingy) and the rest of the piece are so well put together. Don't change that.
My one suggestion for changing would be to try out a more "square" crop. It just feels to me that there is (barely) too much space at the top, and a bit too much space at the bottom.
I love her "zoned out" expression. It really gives the viewer a sense that she really is dreaming about something. The tiny little curves (really barely even there) almost as if she is about to smile, because whatever she's dreaming about, is something she likes.
Oh, and I'm a sucker for freckles. They'll grab me every time. I'm very glad you don't erase them digitally like some artists do.
Keep up the Superior work Joakim.
